The Opponent Network

The 25 wrestlers who faced the strongest documented schedule.

PageRank runs over every decisive result in the corpus, with each edge pointing from loser to winner. A wrestler's schedule strength is the edge-weighted average importance of everyone they met.

Every decisive result in the corpus draws an arrow from the loser to the winner. 385,908 of them, aggregated, PageRank has an opinion about which wrestlers matter, arrived at the way it decides which web pages matter: importance flows from whoever you beat, recursively, until it converges.

Schedule strength is the average importance of everyone a wrestler met. The top of the list is Bray Wyatt, by a distance, 1875.47 against 1706.33 for Brock Lesnar behind him, over 908 documented matches spent almost entirely against the top of the WWE card, and won 38.8% of them. Behind those two the board is WWE almost without exception: every one of the twenty-five worked the majority of a documented career there.

Which is the useful thing this board actually measures. PageRank mass concentrates wherever the victory graph is densest, and in this corpus that is WWE from roughly 2005 onward. A high schedule strength here means, with real precision: this wrestler spent their career in the room where the most documented wins were changing hands. It is a statement about the archive's shape as much as about the opposition, and it is worth knowing which.

  1. Bray Wyatt — 1875.44 (WWE, 2009–2023)

The strongest documented schedule anybody has, attached to a 38.8% record: 352-540-16. One hundred and thirty-seven meetings with Roman Reigns, rated 2316.1, ten of them won; 120 against Dean Ambrose at 2149.0, twenty won. Four against Bret Hart, all lost. Schedule ranks #1 and the overall rank is #405 among the qualified, with Quality at #1,837 off 59 rated matches. Dominance still comes in at #70, because the model charges almost nothing for losing to that column.

  2. Brock Lesnar — 1705.96 (WWE, 2000–2026)

Second on the schedule off only 311 documented matches across 22 years, which is the smallest sample near the top here. The Undertaker appears 29 times at 2171.6, split evenly; Goldberg three times at 2533.7; Roman Reigns ten times at 2308.3, won four. Network prestige reads 0.491, #41, well below the schedule position, so the PageRank mass is more modest than the company suggests. Dominance also ranks #2, and the overall rank is #88 on a 68.5% career.

  3. Randy Orton — 1654.73 (WWE, 2000–2026)

Network prestige, 1.561, is #2 in the corpus and the schedule #3, which is what 27 documented years inside one company will produce. One hundred and nineteen matches with John Cena, rated 2352.7, won 34; eight against Goldberg at 2490.9. Career K-WAR of 154.2 ranks #4, five better than an overall #9, and Quality is the counterweight at #192. 145 of the 146 title-match wins were for a top-decile belt, and championship value reads 150.0.

  4. Alberto Del Rio — 1614.13 (WWE, 2000–2026)

Ninety-four documented matches against Sheamus at a mean pre-match rating of 2350.8, nine of them won, and 72 with John Cena, rated 2342.2, seven won. Two of the highest-rated opponents in the corpus, met that often, are most of why the schedule ranks #4 against an overall #123. A 48.6% career, 528-534-24, losing by six across 1,086 documented matches. Titles ranks #44 and 92 title-match wins in 95 are top-decile.

  5. Batista — 1600.43 (WWE, 2000–2019)

Fifth on the schedule off 481 documented matches over 13 years, which is the shortest span in this file. Forty-nine against Edge at 2146.9 went 22-24; The Undertaker eleven times at 2306.9, going 2-6. Network prestige reads 0.423, #51, a long way under the schedule position. Dominance ranks #24 and Quality #938, on a 62.2% career and an overall rank of #332 among the qualified. The corpus has years in 13 of the 20 the span covers.

  6. Seth Rollins — 1594.60 (WWE, 2005–2026)

One hundred and forty-five documented matches with John Cena, rated 2472.4, eight of them won, and 139 against Dean Ambrose at 2104.5. Sixth on the schedule and #3 overall, so unlike most of this board the row agrees with itself: network prestige #9, Quality #28, Titles #4 on a championship value of 224.5. A 49.1% record, 877-849-60, across 1,786 documented matches in 22 years, every one of them documented, with 205 rated.

  7. John Cena — 1587.81 (WWE, 1999–2025)

Network prestige of 2.049 ranks #1 in the corpus, which is the more telling of his two network figures: the PageRank mass flows toward him more than toward anyone else documented. The schedule itself ranks #7. A 76.3% career across 1,554 documented matches means most of that mass arrives through wins rather than losses, which is the opposite of how the top of this board usually works. Dominance and Titles both rank #1 as well, and the overall rank is #2.

  8. Edge — 1569.00 (WWF, 1997–2026)

The Undertaker across 41 matches at 2281.9, ten won, and three with Roman Reigns at 2414.3, none won. The bulk of the record is elsewhere: 88 with Jeff Hardy and 87 with Matt Hardy, at 1883.0 and 1830.1. Eighth on the schedule, ten clear of an overall #18. Every one of the 113 title-match wins is for a top-decile belt, and career K-WAR of 120.0 ranks #13. Twenty-two documented years across four decades, with 224 matches rated.

  9. Roman Reigns — 1537.73 (WWE, 2010–2026)

Network prestige at 1.316 is #3 while the schedule ranks #9, and the difference is the direction of travel: 137 matches against Bray Wyatt won 122 of them, 56 with John Cena at 2408.5 won eight. A 69.0% career sends mass toward him rather than away. Ten against Brock Lesnar at 2442.8 went 6-4. Dominance ranks #5, Titles #8, and the overall rank is #7, so the whole row is inside a handful of places.

  10. Kane — 1519.36 (WWE, 1992–2021)

Tenth on the schedule, #426 among the qualified overall, four hundred and sixteen places apart. Five matches against Brock Lesnar at 2582.0, none won; four against Goldberg at 2439.4; 123 against The Big Show at 2140.5 and 113 with Roman Reigns at 2093.6. Quality ranks #2,010 and Dominance #52. A 50.1% career, 988-892-92, over 1,974 documented matches spanning 28 years, with 166 of 177 title-match wins for a top-decile belt.

  11. The Rock — 1512.46 (WWF, 1996–2024)

Ninety-three documented matches against Triple H at 2123.0, 56 against Steve Austin at 2329.3 going 12-39, 38 against The Undertaker at 2311.7. That is a career spent almost entirely at the top of the card, and the schedule ranks #11 against an overall #53. Network prestige reads 0.472, #43, so the mass is smaller than the company. All 52 title-match wins are top-decile. The corpus has 14 of the 29 years in that span, on 544 matches.

  12. Triple H — 1509.52 (WWF, 1994–2021)

Twelfth on the schedule with the overall rank at #14, which is as close as this board gets to agreement. Ninety-three matches against The Rock at 2155.0 went 32-52; 85 against Kane at 2120.9 went 35-48; eight against Goldberg at 2449.1 went 3-4. Network prestige comes in at 0.830, #16. Quality is the drag at #134. 104 title-match wins, all of them top-decile, worth 125.4, and the record is 507-426-73.

  13. Kurt Angle — 1485.88 (TNA, 1998–2019)

Forty-six documented matches against Steve Austin at 2268.9 and 46 against The Undertaker at 2251.5, going 14-26 and 8-33. Fifty-four against The Rock at 2232.4. Thirteenth on the schedule, five under an overall #8, with network prestige of 0.973 at #12 and Quality at #15. The top decile covers all 105 title-match victories. A 54.6% career, 615-459-53, over 1,127 documented matches and 22 years, 223 of them rated.

  14. The Big Show — 1455.66 (WWE, 1995–2024)

Fourteenth on the schedule and #447 among the qualified overall, which is four hundred and thirty-three places of disagreement. 109 matches against John Cena at 2322.0 produced nine wins; 123 against Kane at 2028.6 went 63-46. Network prestige of 1.064 ranks #8 and Dominance #25, both far above the career. Quality ranks #2,097. A 54.9% record, 1024-747-93, across 1,864 documented matches and 29 years, with 171 of 172 title-match wins top-decile.

  15. Kevin Owens — 1423.41 (WWE, 2004–2026)

Fifty-eight meetings with Roman Reigns, rated 2422.4, fifteen won, and 22 with John Cena at 2465.4, one won. Against that, 142 with Sami Zayn at 1858.0, split almost evenly. Fifteenth on the schedule, five up on an overall #20, with network prestige of 0.671 at #25. A 49.0% record, 626-623-28, across 1,277 documented matches and 23 years. Titles ranks #23 on 167 title-match wins, 122 of them top-decile.

  16. Wade Barrett — 1403.15 (WWE, 2007–2016)

Sixty-six documented matches against Sheamus at a mean pre-match rating of 2229.9, eleven of them won, 25 with John Cena at 2238.9, and 14 with Roman Reigns at 2360.6 for a single win. Seventeenth on the schedule against an overall #152. Network prestige reads 0.356, #67, so the opposition was strong without the mass following. A 41.4% career, 314-435-10, over only 10 documented years, with Quality at #781 and Dominance at #63.

  17. Steve Austin — 1385.55 (WWF, 1990–2022)

Sixty-five documented matches against The Undertaker at 2309.6, 39 of them won, and ten against Shawn Michaels at 2429.6. Sixteen against Bret Hart at 2333.2 went 5-10. Eighteenth on the schedule, sixteen up on an overall #34, with Dominance at #11 and Quality at #36. Every one of the 94 title-match wins is for a top-decile belt. The corpus has 16 of the 33 years in that span, on 580 documented matches and a 59.1% return.

  18. Sheamus — 1376.85 (WWE, 2007–2025)

Network prestige of 1.166 ranks #5, well ahead of a schedule position of #20, and the direction matters: 111 matches against Roman Reigns at 2184.8 and 99 against Dean Ambrose at 1953.2 send mass in both directions. Dominance and Titles both rank #7, eight better than an overall #15, on 226 title-match wins and a championship value of 211.9. A 56.1% career, 895-655-45, across 1,595 documented matches in 19 years.

  19. The Miz — 1365.08 (WWE, 2003–2026)

A 32.1% win rate: 546-1109-47, losing more than twice as often as winning across 1,703 documented matches. The schedule still ranks #21, three hundred and thirty-six better than an overall #357 among the qualified, off 119 matches with Kofi Kingston at 1931.3 and 110 with Dolph Ziggler at 1970.0. Titles ranks #30 on a championship value of 128.6, with 138 of 146 title-match wins top-decile, and Dominance #172. Quality ranks #972. Career K-WAR of 64.5 ranks #71.

  20. CM Punk — 1362.76 (WWE, 2000–2026)

Twenty-second on the schedule and #12 overall, ten places of daylight. The Undertaker across 26 matches at 2343.1, one won; eight against Sheamus at 2472.8, five won; 65 against John Cena at 2255.8, thirteen won. Dominance ranks #14 and Titles #9 on a championship value of 200.1. A 60.3% career, 748-439-51, and the corpus has 21 of the 27 years in that span.

  21. Mark Henry — 1350.56 (WWE, 1996–2018)

Twenty-third here and #854 among the qualified overall, eight hundred and thirty-one places apart, which is the widest such split on this board. Seventy documented matches against The Big Show at 2084.8 went 14-53; 66 against Sheamus at 2148.6 went 10-55. Dominance ranks #83, Quality #2,098. All 27 title-match wins are for a top-decile belt, worth 26.7. A 47.2% record, 422-434-39, from 895 documented matches over 23 years.

  22. Christian — 1328.25 (WWE, 1997–2026)

Twenty-fourth on the schedule against an overall #21, and 153 title-match wins, every one for a top-decile belt, worth 147.8. The Undertaker over 19 matches at 2270.7 went 7-11; the bulk of the record is 95 with Bubba Ray Dudley and 93 with D-Von Dudley, at 1867.9 and 1863.5. Career K-WAR of 115.2 ranks #18. A 48.3% return, 560-565-35, over 1,161 documented matches, 25 years, four decades.

  23. Rusev — 1287.20 (WWE, 2010–2026)

Seventy against Roman Reigns, rated 2403.1, of which two were won, and 43 against John Cena at 2449.8, also two. Then 43 against Jack Swagger at 1727.8 going 40-3, which is the other half of a schedule that ranks #25 while network prestige reads 0.350 at #71. An overall rank of #107 on a 48.0% career, 368-380-18. All 58 title-match wins carry a top-decile belt, and Dominance ranks #71.

  24. Daniel Bryan — 1285.88 (WWE, 2000–2025)

Twenty-sixth here, #5 overall, which makes this the highest-ranked career on the board and the one the schedule figure matters least to. Network prestige stands at 1.071, #7. 119 matches against Seth Rollins at 1867.2 won 97, 96 against Roman Reigns at 1908.1 won 75, 51 against CM Punk at 2246.9 won 13. A 60.7% record, 973-573-56, over 1,602 documented matches, with Quality at #10 and wins above expectation at #6.

  25. A.J. Styles — 1273.63 (WWE, 2000–2026)

The board closes on the highest-ranked career in the corpus placed twenty-seventh on the schedule, which is the measure that flatters it least. Network prestige of 1.160 still ranks #6. Twenty-one matches against Roman Reigns at 2458.6 went 2-19 and 16 against Cody Rhodes at 2450.2 went 0-16, while 108 against Christopher Daniels at 1671.9 went 74-29. A 56.9% career across 1,700 documented matches in 27 years, with 289 rated and Titles at #6.
